Task Management

Task Management allows you to create, assign, and track individual tasks within projects. It provides a clear view of what needs to be done, who is responsible, and when it is due.

Viewing Your Tasks

  • Navigate to Projects > My Tasks from the left navigation menu.
  • View all tasks assigned to you across all projects.
  • Tasks are displayed with their title, project, status, priority, and due date.
  • Filter and sort tasks by status, priority, or project.

Task Details

  • Click on a task to view its full details, including:
    • Title and Description: What needs to be done.
    • Assignee: Who is responsible for the task.
    • Due Date: When the task should be completed.
    • Priority: Task priority level.
    • Status: Current progress of the task.
    • Dependencies: Tasks that must be completed before this one can start.
    • Time Tracking: Logged hours spent on the task.

Updating Task Status

  • Change the task status as you progress through the work.
  • Add comments or notes to provide updates on your progress.
  • Log time spent on the task for accurate tracking.
  • Request deadline extensions if needed through the task extension feature.

Task Extensions

  • If you need more time to complete a task, you can request a deadline extension.
  • Provide a reason and the new proposed due date.
  • The project manager reviews and approves or rejects extension requests.
  • Note: Tasks must have a due date set before an extension can be requested.
